Printer Load and Error Balancing
Reform can monitor an unlimited number of printers and submit the print job to the printer with the least amount of documents. Reform will not submit documents to any of the monitored printers that are off line. These documents will be rerouted to the next available monitored printer.

New Bar-coding Formats
Reform has new 1D bar-codes, Postnet and has also included 2D bar-codes. The new 2D bar-codes are PDF417 and Maxi code.

Scripting Designer
Reform now includes an editor that will help you create and modify scripts. This new editor also contains many new debugging features.

Object Control
Using the scripting plug-in, objects can new be moved, resized and properties can be adjusted.

Printer Profile
Reform now can save printer settings that can be trigger from any form by just passing the profile name. These profiles can also be triggered from the page script.

Retain Images
From any application that prints to a windows printer driver, can now print to the new Reform Printer. If any graphics, logos, colors, fonts, lines etc are present on the print job, Reform will maintain these features. This eliminates the need to create the features from scratch.

PDF
Reform can now generate PDF natively. The new feature is fast and can generate 100 PDF per minute. Security can be set to allow users to control printing, copying and viewing. Metadata can be added to allow important information to be added to each PDF.

Email
You can now send your printouts via email without having to use those complicated email systems. Reform uses it’s built in email system to deliver the output in JPEG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PCX and PDF graphic formats. You do not need to install an extra email system in order to use it. Reform now includes email plug-ins for all versions of Outlook, Lotus Notes, MAPI and SMTP.

Form Link
The Form Link feature enables you to print multi-part output from a single text file without having to purchase expensive pre-printed multi-part forms. Simply design all the forms in Reform Designer, link them together, and Reform will do the rest. Reform adds collating, stapling and pin codes for MFP systems.

Image Linking
Image Linking is a powerful feature. It allows you to add images to forms that will change based on the text content of your ASCII file.

Form-Password Protection
You are now able to password protect forms against unauthorized modification or printing. Reform can also control access/pin codes on MFP systems.

Form Duplex (double sided printing) (Enterprise only)
If your printer supports duplex printing, Reform can take advantage of this unique feature.

ODBC and SQL
The new scripting plug-in adds many new features and functions to Reform, such as ODBC, MAPI, SMTP, FTP, form control, etc.

Decision Maker
The Decision Maker uses the Scripting system to make enhanced decisions on the flow and destination of documents in process.

Archive Storage Systems
Reform has new plug-ins that allows it to send documents to professional archive storage systems.

1)   Save to File – Allows Reform to create a file in any directory. Reform can create a directory structure based on passed information, and the file names can be defined as well. For example, if you are sending a Purchase Order through Reform, you can call the directory by the Vendor Name, and the file name by the purchase order number. You can also choose the file type that the document is saved as. Common file types are PDF, TIF, JPEG, GIF.

2)   Decision Maker – Is used to make decisions based on the information that is being passed to Reform. Decision Maker allows you to:
- Decide which output device to send the document to
- Break up a print job into individual documents
- Query the printers for load balancing
- Correct pagination issues

3)   Rotating text – Reform can now rotate text 360 degrees or any whole division of 360 degrees.

4)   Load Balancing – Reform uses two different methods for load balancing:

-     Reform comes with a script that will monitor the spooler directories to decide the least used Reform Spooler to send the print job to. It will also redirect the print job if one of the Reform Spooler machines is down. More than one computer and Reform Spooler are required. This script can be found in the \Reform\Misc folder.

-     Balancing Printers for loads and errors - By querying the intended printers, Reform can make logical decisions based on the number of print jobs already in the printer's queue or the on-line status of the printer.

5)   New Windows Printer driver – In the past, Reform installed two printer drivers - Reform Windows Printer and Reform Text Printer. Now FabSoft has developed a printer driver that combines both of these drivers into one Reform Printer. This printer driver includes all the functionality of the older drivers and adds the ability to drag the driver to client computers for ease of deployment.

6)   Retain Images – If your application produces its own graphical formatting, then Reform will maintain the formatting from the application. Reform distribution functions can add value by distributing the print job to many output devices automatically.
