Headquartered in Miramar, Florida with offices around the world, United Aerospace Corporation (UAC) is involved in all areas of aviation servicing. UAC services some of the largest shipping companies and has an exclusive service contract with FedEx.
UAC’s main problem was coordinating their internal system with specific customer demands. UAC has been using JD Edwards World ERP system running on an AS/400 mainframe. Some of UAC’s customers requested 8 copies of a document, but only one copy needed to be stored in eCabinet. The information and indexes needed to be perfect on eCabinet in order to retrieve the critical information easily from any browser. An aircraft can be serviced from any location around the world, so the service history documents must be easily available.
To solve these issues UAC introduced Reform and its built-in eCabinet connector. Reform was able to make a seamless connection between UAC’s JD Edwards system, eCabinet and their networked printers. Reform was able to enhance the look of UAC’s documents and replace their existing pre-printed forms.
Reform’s eCabinet connector is extremely intelligent and can:
- Auto sense different document numbers to make individual transactions in eCabinet.
- Allow users to define important searchable fields (i.e. Invoice #) for easy retrieval.
- Allow users to custom build Summary and Notes in eCabinet using document information.
- Creates a searchable and locked PDF file with perfect 100% clarity.
- User definable eCabinet folders.
