Today, AI File Pro also speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside tools. That means any MCP-capable assistant — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and others — can operate AI File Pro directly. You describe what you want; the assistant drives the product. What your assistant can do
- Organize by content. Point it at a folder with a plain-English instruction — "sort these by the matter name on each pleading" — and AI File Pro reads each file and builds the folder structure to match. No pre-defined buckets, no tagging.
- Ask questions across everything. Index a set of files once, then ask: "Which of these statements shows a wire transfer over $10,000?" Answers come back with the actual source passages cited, so you can verify rather than trust blindly.
- Fine-tune without starting over. Lock a single file to a specific folder or rename an output, and those choices stick even when the rest is re-organized.

Letting an assistant touch your files should never feel risky, so the safety model is built in:

- Copy by default. Your originals are never moved unless you explicitly choose to.

There are two ways to connect, depending on where your assistant runs:
